Nancy and Richard spent much of the lives together in Curtis, Michigan raising a family and enjoying nature during the summer months. Nancy grew up in Northern Michigan and met Richard in college. She introduced him to the people and beautiful surroundings of the Upper Peninsula. Nancy was a supporter of the arts and believed the Eastern Upper Peninsula was gifted with talented individuals. A few years before her death, the Nancy A. and Richard P. Erickson Foundation was founded. The Foundation’s main focus is on the youth living in and around Curtis and will continue to support the arts as well.
